Students in art learned how to create different colors using a color wheel. A color wheel shows the relationship between primary colors, secondary colors, and complementary colors. The primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. You can combine primary colors to make the secondary colors green, purple, and orange. Students created a color wheel as an art project.
Haiku is a poem that has 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second line, and then 5 in the third line. This past year, the haikus have an ocean theme. Learn more about writing haiku at Wikipedia.
In this session, students are introduced to a new program called Scratch. Developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Scratch is a programming ‘language’ designed so that kids can create their own games, music, animations, and more. Fun and educational, Scratch is sure to both entertain and teach students of all ages.

Drama is my personal favorite because the class helps boost self-confidence and includes activities that keep you moving. Drama class also has an afternoon program where the students create a video which is shown on Family Night. Drama class helps with acting skills and personal self-esteem.
