Young Thinkers (children going into kindergarten, first, or second grades in the fall of 2011) experience the world around them through hands-on activities. Young Thinkers will adventure into learning as they rotate through centers engaging in language arts, math, computers, science, geography, art, music, and movement. Special emphasis will be placed on phonemic awareness, number sense, and educational standards developed by the State according to developmental stages of learning. As curious explorers, they will enjoy a variety of readiness activi- ties to prepare them to be lifetime learners. The rainforest biome fosters fascination for knowledge and environ- mental awareness. Children will develop perceptiveness and originality and gain self esteem as they interact in small groups under the direction of a team of experienced educators. Special visitors with real animals will add to the stimulating learning environment.
