Young Thinkers
Grades TK- 2nd
Morning
Enrichment
8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Young Thinkers (children going into transitional kindergarten (TK), kindergarten, first, or second grades in the fall of 2024) experience the world around them through hands-on activities. Young Thinkers will explore learning as they rotate through centers engaging in language arts, math, computers, science, geography, art, music, and movement. Special emphasis will be placed on language literacy and number sense aligned with the Common Core State Standards, 21st century skills, and developmental stages of learning. As curious explorers, they will enjoy a variety of readiness activities to prepare them to be lifetime learners. Young Thinker centers foster fascination for discovery, exploration, and environmental awareness. Children will develop perceptiveness and originality and gain self-esteem as they interact in small groups under the direction of a team of experienced educators. Special visitors and assemblies will add to the stimulating learning environment.
